Coaching the skills that school doesn’t always teach

At A+ Coaching, we integrate academic support, behavior strategies, and executive-functioning skill-building into our coaching to give students the individual tools they need to manage daily life and work toward meaningful academic success and achievement of long-term goals.

Support Changes Everything

You know they’re capable, so why is this so hard?

Why are assignments missing or overdue?

Why does effort not lead to results?

How can you help without taking over?

Why does communication with teachers feel so overwhelming?

You are not alone in feeling this way. Executive functioning issues are more apparent now than ever, and they typically result in feelings of confusion and frustration.

We hear you, and we are here to help.

Our Mission

We integrate support and skill building into our executive functioning coaching to give our clients  the individual tools they need to manage daily life and work toward meaningful success.

Integrated Coaching

Student Skills

We focus on teaching strategies, including time management, schedule organization, and task initiation, to simplify the student's schooling.

Learning Skills

We pair the skills of being a student with focusing on the mechanics of learning and mastering subject material to holistically address classroom performance.

Self Regulation Skills

We alter behavioral responses to be more functional and proactive through behavior coaching and trigger identification.

The Ultimate Goal of this combined coaching approach is to give the student the "manual" for their own brain, allowing their intelligence to show up in their grades and daily life.

What Clients are Saying

“After beginning my first year of college, I felt incapable of staying on track and frustrated at my inability to keep up with my courses. However, everything seemed to fall into place after I started working with A+ coaching.”

College Client of A+ Coaching

“I can’t recommend Amy enough—and I do so often to friends navigating the IEP/504 process. About three years ago, while sitting in our annual IEP meeting, it finally occurred to me that I was participating in a legal meeting without representation. I was introduced to Amy shortly thereafter, and she immediately helped me streamline and clarify my daughter’s IEP as we transitioned from our elementary/middle school district to our high school district. Amy speaks the same language as the case managers—she is like your own personal translator who understands the process and system and brings practical tools and solutions to help the school best support your child.”
